Patricia A. Janoski, 85, of the Lutheran Home at Kane, PA
Patricia A. Janoski, 85, of the Lutheran Home at Kane, PA passed away Tuesday evening, December 12, 2023 at the Lutheran Home following a brief illness.
She was born in Johnsonburg on November 5, 1938, a daughter to the late Max and Amelia Bodistow Pavlock. On August 26, 1978 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Louis Janoski. He preceded her in April of 1983.
Patricia had been a resident of the Lutheran Home for the past 2 years and had lived briefly in Ridgway. Born and raised in Johnsonburg, she was a 1956 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She received a business degree from Robert Morris University and spent most of her life in the Harmarville-Cheswick-Springville area as a secretary for many businesses and hospitals. She had worked for Hirsch-Truxler and Weiss, Atty’s. in Pittsburgh, Alan Zoeller Painting, Podmilsak’s Market and several hospitals, all as a secretary and had been a Twp. Supervisor for Harmar Twp., PA.
Patricia was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Harmarville, PA and was very active in the church. She had served as a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the choir and was on the parish council. She took pride in taking care of her home and was very meticulous in its care. She was also very involved volunteering with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
She is survived by her siblings Mary Ann Pennington, Art Pavlock and his wife Mary Kay and Connie Steudler all of Johnsonburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother Stanley “Stash” Pavlock, her sister Josephine Pavlock and her nephew John Pennington.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Janoski will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick, PA.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg on Wednesday morning December 27, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:15 AM
