FREE CONCERT THIS SATURDAY, DEC. 16 TO TELL THE STORY OF THE FIRST CHRISTMAS THROUGH SCRIPTURE AND SONG
This Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m., a non-denominational Community Christmas Concert will be held at the First Baptist Church at 25 Central Avenue in Wellsboro. The concert is sponsored by Arise Cafe and is being produced by Chris Eckert Music. It is free and open to the public.
The concert will tell the story of the first Christmas with scripture readings by Pastor Chris Osterbrock and soloists Chris Eckert, Kacy Hagan and Joshua Bankston, all of Wellsboro, and Karin Knaus of Westfield singing religious-based Christmas carols, such as “Away in a Manger.”
This is the second year for this concert event in Wellsboro. “I’m excited to be a part of this free community event that highlights the reason for the season,” said Hagan. “What a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas spirit together!”
