UPB ‘Dig Pink’ to Benefit Local Oncology Fund at BRMC
BRADFORD, PA – The sports business and science club at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (UPB) coordinated a fundraiser to benefit the local oncology fund for the Bradford Hospital Foundation (BHF). The fundraiser took place at the girls’ volleyball game on Thursday, October 26.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, the “Dig Pink” fundraiser was able to generate over one hundred dollars that will help support local oncology services at Bradford Regional Medical Center. The sport business and science club collected money throughout the game for the cause.
“We’re so thankful for the participation from the students at Pitt-Bradford. We all know someone that has been touched by cancer and knowing that these students helped to raise funds to support our local community is extremely touching,” said Stacy Williams, executive director, BHF. “These proceeds will help our experienced team of physicians who are a part of the Roswell Cancer Care Network to continue to provide these essential services here in Bradford.”
The oncology general fund is a restricted fund specifically earmarked for oncology services at BRMC. If you would like to help support the BHF oncology fund, please contact the foundation office at (814) 362-8288 or donate online at www.brmc-ogh.org/foundations/brmc/.
