Loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister

Connie Y. Clayson, 67, of 4334 Route 305, Cuba, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born on November 26, 1955, in Cuba, she was a daughter of Kenneth W.  and Anna Mae Cummins Pinney. 

Connie was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1973.  In addition to raising her children, she worked at Acme Electric for 18 years and was last employed as a bartender at the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 of Cuba from which she retired.

She was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan, enjoyed reading and bowling, but most of all cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren.

A Son,  Shawn (Rebekah) Clayson,  Cuba

A Daughter,  Sara (Wade) Clayson Porterfield, Coudersport

Her grandchildren, Anna Clayson, Macie Demick, Aleah Demick, Tristan Clayson, and Garrett Clayson

A Brother,  Michael Pinney,  Cuba

2 Sisters,  Jean (Steve) Botens,  Black Creek & Mary Pinney,                              Cuba

Several nieces and Nephews

She was predeceased by her father Kenneth W. “Bud” Pinney on January 19, 2011

Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 5-7 P. M.

Additionally, a Celebration of Life for Connie will be held on December 17, 2023 at the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1, 5276 Maple Lane, Cuba beginning at 4:00 P.M.  Please wear your favorite Bills gear in memory of Connie and to cheer on the Buffalo Bills.
