Carol E. Fritz, 81, of 336 West Creek Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 23, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born July 6, 1942 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Weber Herbstritt.  She was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1960, and instrumental in the family business at Asmac, Inc.

On April 28, 1962 in Queen of the World Church, Carol married Donald A. Fritz, who survives.  They were blessed to share 61 years of marriage.

Along with her loving husband, Carol is survived one daughter, Sharon Williams (Jim) of St. Marys; two sons: Alan Fritz (Debbie) and Steve Fritz, both of St. Marys; six grandchildren: Cory Williams, Kyle Williams, Kelsey Fritz, Adam Fritz, Aaron Fritz, and Brittany Fritz; one great-grandson: Charlie Prechtl; and her aunt Helen Weber.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Fritz, in 1985.

Carol enjoyed the company of others and was a supportive wife, mother, and grandmother.  She valued her time with family and friends over lunch, playing cards with the card club, going to camp, and riding four wheelers.  She managed to take care of her family, attend to the business, and find time to attend most every activity for her grandchildren.  There was nothing more important to Carol than her family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, celebrating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10:15AM until the time of service.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choosing.
