H. Kevin Olewinski, 66, of Park Ave. in Kane, PA
H. Kevin Olewinski, 66, of Park Ave. in Kane, PA passed away Saturday (Sept. 30) at UPMC-Hamot. Born Nov. 26, 1956 in Johnsonburg, he is the son of the late Henry and Frances (Piurkoski) Olewinski.
Kevin worked at C.W. Hardware for many years where he helped countless people find the necessary materials for their projects. He was an avid hunter and he also had been a member of the horseshoe league for several years and had raced mini stock cars. Kevin was also a past member of the Wilcox Fire Dept. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by those he left behind.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Bizzak, two sons, Kevin (Lisa) Olewinski of Kane and William (Alex) Olewinski of Cincinnati, OH; one daughter Nicole Olewinski of Evansville, IN; a sister Christine (James) Detrick of Wilcox; a brother David (Sue) Olewinski of St. Marys and 13 grandchildren and his stepchildren, Michael (Alice) Bizzak, Tabby (Josh) Gadley and Michelle (John) Bizzak.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Marlene Olewinski.
Friends are invited to attend a viewing at the Cummings Funeral Home on Wednesday (Oct. 4) from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday (Oct. 5) at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. William O’Brien officiating. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
