Amanda (Vanorsdale) McClain, 34, Ridgway, PA
Amanda (Vanorsdale) McClain, born on September 30, 1988, 34, passed away at her home on September 26, 2023, losing a battle to a long-term illness. She was born in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Keith Vanorsdale and Kathleen (Blauser) Celinski (Jack).
On August 12, 2017, she married the love of her life, Timothy C. McClain, of Ridgway, who survives.
Amanda attended Ridgway Area High School and went on to develop her entrepreneurial spirit at a variety of small endeavors, many of which were featured online as well as at local craft shows. She was a co-owner of Lazy River Canoe Rentals alongside her husband where the two of them had many family adventures.
Amanda loved her family deeply and had a passion for sharing her creativity online with her auctions. She loved to shop at all the events she attended.
She was a natural talent at the bass guitar and was a member of the My Musical Romance Band with her family and friends who have been entertaining the music community in Ridgway and beyond for 2 years. She along with her husband was instrumental in bringing the Riverfest to Ridgway in memory of Tom Dickinson for the past 3 years. Amanda loved animals, especially her dog Finnegan.
In addition to her husband Tim, she is survived by two daughters: Jewel L. McClain and Jocelyn L. McClain; as well as her stepchildren: Sarah Hegedus, Michael McClain, Lilly McClain; and grandchildren: Layla Hegedus, Star Hegedus, Maca Hegedus, Charlie McClain, Quinn McClain, Keylee McClain, and Alaya McClain; as well as her Aunt Judy Lunder and cousins. She is also survived by a brother, Keith (Lindsey) Vanordsale.
Amanda was predeceased by grandparents John and Mary J. Blauser, Edgar and Maxine Vanorsdale, her Aunt Arlene Garbarino, and her cousin Ryan Hanes.
