Thomas L. Jashurek, 73, of Oak St., Kane, PA
Thomas L. Jashurek, 73, of Oak St., Kane, PA passed away Friday (Aug. 25) at UPMC-Kane. Born April 26, 1950 in Kane, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Rogers) Jashurek.
Tom worked as a janitor for the Kane Area School District. He was a member of the Kane VFW Lodge #1132 and the Kane Revival Center and he enjoyed gardening. He had also served in the U.S. Marines Corp. during the Vietnam War.
Surviving relatives include one son, Thomas (Judy) Jashurek Jr. of Kane; two daughters, Samantha Jashurek of St. Marys and Laura (Daniel) Lemon of Olean, NY; his former wife, Darlene Jashurek of Johnsonburg; three granddaughters, Kelly (Tim) Mix, Kristen Lemon and Alexis Yocum; four grandsons, Andrew Lemon, Caleb Jashurek, Charles and Wyatt Yocum; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Lemon; four brothers, Anthony, Robert, Joseph and Frank Jashurek; and one sister in infancy.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Cummings Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 with the Rev. Thomas Eastman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kane VFW Lodge or the Kane Volunteer Fire Department.
