Raymond F. “Ray” Kreckel, 70, of 613 Third Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA passed away early Saturday morning, August 19, 2023 at his home following an illness of the past year. He was born in Johnsonburg on July 8, 1953, a son to the late Edward and Virginia Williams Kreckel. On October 28, 1983 in St. Marys, he married Anna Nortum and she survives. 

Ray was a lifelong resident of Johnsonburg and was a 1971 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. Ray was a homebody who loved animals, especially his cat Misty, cooking and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

In 2005, Ray retired from Weyerhaeuser, Johnsonburg Mill after 33 years of service. He then retired from AccuGrind in 2016 after 11 years of service. 

In addition to his wife Anna at home, Ray is survived by a son Mike Kreckel and his wife Laura of Johnsonburg, a daughter Tara Kreckel of Kersey and a brother Fred Kreckel and his wife Donna of Johnsonburg. 

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter Courtney Kreckel. 

Funeral Services for Raymond F. “Ray” Kreckel will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Interment will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
