Program Title: Stream Study
Date: Saturday, August 26th
Time: 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Location: Near Pavilion 3
Description: Join the park educator and look for macroinvertebrates, like stoneflies and crayfish, in the stream, along with learning their importance. Short talk followed by exploring the stream – expect to get wet so bring along water shoes, swimsuits, and a towel!

Program Title: Dutch Oven Cooking
Date: Saturday, August 26th
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Join State Park Volunteers, John and Jan Halter, as they show us how people used to cook using just a fireplace and a Dutch oven. Presentation and demonstration of how biscuits were made using these tools will be taking place at the Campground Amphitheater in Sizerville State Park. Samples of the biscuits will be provided at the end of the program.

Impromptu (Every Week):
- Saturday afternoon – 5:00 PM – Poolside Powwow
- Take a break from the pool, grab a snack or ice cream, and join the park educator for a short impromptu program. The topic will be revealed at the powwow, so come join us and see!

In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or cancelled.

Every Saturday Afternoon! | 5:00 PM | POOLSIDE POWWOW—Live on the Pool Deck Take a break from the pool, grab a snack or ice cream, and join the park educator for a short impromptu program. The topic will be revealed at the powwow, so come join us and see! |
Every Sunday Morning! | 10:00 AM | CAMPGROUND ROUND-UP—Campground Amphitheater Join the park educator for one more program, game, or activity before heading home – be on the lookout for her walking around! |

Saturday September 2nd | 3:00-4:30 PM | POLLINATOR GARDEN WORKDAY—Meet at Environmental Learning Center Come out and help the park educator along with some other local volunteers work on the pollinator gardens outside of the Environmental Learning Center. We will be pulling weeds, cutting bushes, and giving these gardens some much needed TLC! Some garden tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, a water bottle, and sunscreen/bug spray! Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
Saturday September 2nd | 8:00-9:30 PM | WILD ABOUT ELK—Meet at Campground Amphitheater Have you got the chance to see an elk while on your trip here in the PA Wilds? Come out to this program and learn all the details about elk and how they were reintroduced back into this area. Short talk followed by a movie – feel free to bring snacks and a blanket! |
