Rex C. Wells, age 67, of Elmira, formerly of Osceola, PA passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Born January 24, 1956 in Osceola, he was the son of the late Charles and Neva (King) Wells.

Rex graduated from Elkland High School and earned his Associates Degree in mechanics from Williamsport Area Community College. He served in the National Guard, retired from Dominion as a compressor station operator and worked part time at the GCP Discount Liquors in Horseheads, NY.

Rex was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting and fishing, tinkering in his garage and was always willing to help others and neighbors. Most of all he was a family man and took great care of them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda M. Wells; daughter, Tanya (Dan Miller) Wells of Elmira; son, Brion Michael Wells of Elmira; two sisters, Charlotte Bitler of Lawrenceville and Mary Brian of Osceola and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde K. Wells and nephew, Ricky S. Wells.

Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Friday, April 21st from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 6:00 PM with his nephew, Rev. David Bitler officiating.
