David L. Frey, 69, of Bradford, PA
David L. Frey, 69, of Bradford, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on August 6, 1953 in Lockhaven, the son of the late William and Eleanor Spiker Frey.
He was a 1971 graduate of the Lakeshore High School, Angola, NY.
On March 9, 1984 in Olean, NY, he married Sandra L. Aiello; who survives.
David was a past member of the YABA and the Bradford Junior Bowling Association for thirty-five years. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a bowling enthusiast; a trait that he proudly passed on to his grandson and granddaughter. He was a former coach for the Junior Bowling League at Byllye Lanes and he was always willing to help anyone that needed a little guidance. He was a former officer in the Men’s Bowling League and a talented bowler who bowled in several leagues and who bowled several 300 games in his bowling career. He loved his “grand dogs” Axel, Rose Ellen, Stormy and Missy and who could forget his “dog neighbor” Cooper.
He was employed as the manager for the former RadioShack in Bradford and Warren for several years. He later worked for Great Lakes Home Health which later became MedCare; where he retired from, the Pro shop at Byllye Lanes and finally part-time at the Seneca-Allegany Casino, Salamanca, NY.
In addition to his wife of 38 years, Sandra Frey of Bradford he is also survived by one daughter, Tracy (William Work) Frey-Koppenhaver of Bradford; one son, David (Kelly King) Frey, II of Bradford; two sisters, Velma Woodin of Arcade, NY and Victoria (Frank) Rylowicz of Brockton, NY; four grandchildren, Zander Koppenhaver, Jaylee Koppenhaver, Renee (Noah) Whittemore and Dillan Cramer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was also preceded in death by one niece, Heather Rylowicz; one nephew, “Chuckie” Woodin; his father-in-law, Frank “Chic” Aiello; his mother-in-law, Gloria Sutherland-Aiello; one brother-in-law, Jimmer Aiello and two sisters-in-law, Rose Aiello-Howard and Constance Lee-Hall.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow in the funeral home at 1:00 with the Rev. James Gutting, senior associate pastor of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the Bradford Youth Bowling Association, 290 Seaward Ave., Bradford, PA 16701.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.

Sandy my heart goes out to you it’s so very few words that anyone can really say I always remembered you guys in the lighthouse I will be praying for you guys I just hope that you just stay strong cuz that’s the type of person you are and he’s not in any more pain I love you I always liked everything about you you’re very special person Sandy so hang on to your kids and your grandkids and put your faith in the Lord God bless your whole family
