Coudersport Rotary Halloween Parade Draws More Than 200 Participants
A long-standing Coudersport tradition continued on October 31, 2026, as the Coudersport Rotary Halloween Parade brought the community together for an evening of Halloween festivities. More than 200 participants joined the celebration, with imaginative and unusual costumes that have made the parade a beloved local tradition.
The entire town embraced the Halloween spirit, with storefronts featuring creatively decorated Halloween windows and the Coudersport Theatre showing a vintage Halloween movie. The costumed Coudersport High School Marching Band added to the excitement by playing spooky music as they marched along the parade route.
The parade began on East Third Street and ended in the parking lot behind the Gunzburger building. Members of the Coudersport Police and Fire departments participated, helping keep the streets clear of traffic and marking the beginning and end of the parade. Students from the Coudersport High School Interact Club joined Rotarians in keeping the event organized and walking the parade route, helping ensure the festivities ran smoothly.
Coudersport Rotarians handed out candy bars to all the children and other parade participants. Rotarians awarded cash prizes for funny and scary costumes in three categories: singles, doubles and groups.
The Halloween celebration continued a cherished community tradition, bringing together families, local businesses, community organizations and spectators for a memorable evening that kicked off the Halloween celebration.
