Rotary Club of Bradford Provides 125 Winter Coats for Local Children

The Rotary Club of Bradford is continuing its commitment to supporting local children and families by providing 125 brand-new winter coats to children throughout the community, from babies and toddlers to elementary school students.
With support from the Blaisdell Foundation and funds raised through the club’s annual Rotary Golf Tournament, the club is helping ensure that local children have warm clothing for the winter months. Rotarians also purchased winter boots for students at George G. Blaisdell Elementary School.
Winter coats are being provided to students at the primary grade levels in the Bradford Area School District and children in area Head Start classrooms through Operation Warm – Coats for Kids. Coats are also being provided to babies and toddlers served through CARE for Children’s Early Intervention program, helping families meet the needs of their youngest children.
The Rotary Club of Bradford’s partnership with Operation Warm has become a valued annual tradition. Through the generosity of community partners and the dedication of volunteers, the project helps children stay warm and comfortable while participating in school, play and everyday activities.
A warm coat provides more than protection from the cold. It can help children feel comfortable, confident and included. By supporting children at different stages of development, the Rotary Club of Bradford is helping address an essential need for families throughout the community.
“Every child deserves to be warm and comfortable during the winter months,” said Steve Morgan, president of the Rotary Club of Bradford and president and CEO of Futures Rehabilitation Center. “We are proud to continue this partnership and reach children at different stages of their lives. The generosity of our community, the support of the Blaisdell Foundation and the funds raised through our golf tournament make it possible for us to address these needs and make a meaningful difference for local families.”
The Rotary Club of Bradford extends its appreciation to the Blaisdell Foundation, golf tournament supporters, Operation Warm, the Bradford Area School District, CARE for Children and the local Head Start program who help make this project possible.
