Marion Eugene “Gene” McDowell, 80, retired Quaker State executive, formerly of Seneca, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 11, 2023, surrounded by his immediate family, after a brief illness.

Gene was born August 9, 1942, in Cross Roads, York County, Pennsylvania, the son of Maynard Marion McDowell and the former Dorothy Smith Trout. He graduated from Kennard-Dale High School, Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, in 1960 and from Grove City College in 1965 with a degree in chemical engineering.

Earlier in his life, Gene was active with his sons as a Scouting leader and served as the Chapter President of the Lion’s Club in Smethport, Pennsylvania. Read more here……….
