David Jamison Sr., 57, formerly of Buffalo, New York, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Born April 7, 1969, to the late Ted and Joan (Wilson) Jamison, David lived his life with a deep love for his family, an unwavering faith in God and an appreciation for the simple things that made life good — time spent outdoors, splitting wood, playing games, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, enjoying LaNova’s pizza, and most of all, being surrounded by the people he loved.

David spent his working years doing construction. He loved working with his hands and building things. Whether tackling a project, fixing something, or simply finding a reason to stay busy, he took pride in his work, creating and building. He taught his children from a young age to say, “Daddy can fix anything!”.

David was truly a kid at heart. He had a playful spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of finding joy in everyday moments. Family gatherings were never complete without David entertaining all of the kids and teaching them new tricks, picking jokes, playing cards or dice, and most memorably making everyone laugh.

He was happiest outdoors and had a genuine appreciation for nature, fresh air, and the simple freedom of spending a day outside. He loved riding four wheelers with his family and pulling all of the kids around on the sled.

Above everything else, however, David loved his family.

He was a loving father to David “DJ” Jamison Jr., Rachael Jamison (Luis Montijo), and Brittany (Rennie) Florentine. His kids were the highlight of his life. He was so proud to be their Dad. He also shared an especially close bond with his niece, Amanda (Victor) Guerra.

David was an outstanding devoted grandfather to Yael, Elizabeth, Claire, and Kelsie. Nothing made him happier than spending a day with his granddaughters. Whether they were heading out for an adventure in the woods, playing endless rounds of backgammon, reading books, going to Togi’s, or simply hanging out together, he treasured those moments with his girls. David also had a strong relationship with his great nephews, Victor and Aiden. He loved spending quality time with them taking walks, going to playgrounds and having milkshakes for lunch. 

To his grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews, he was affectionately known as “Scrappy,” a name that perfectly captured the fun-loving spirit they knew and adored.

David is survived by his siblings, Theodore “Kip” (Michelle) Jamison Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael (Jackie) Jamison Sr. of Buffalo, NY, Amy (Tom) Craig of Bradford, PA.

He was an adored uncle and great uncle of Kevin, Amanda, Mallary, Michael Jr., Caitlin, Jordan, Aubree, Jaxon, Lincoln, Victor, Aiden, Kalina, Elliott, Emmy and Silvia.

David leaves behind his longtime companion, Kathy DeSanti of Columbus, PA, with whom he shared 14 years of friendship, love, and special memories with.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Joan Jamison; his beloved sister, Julie Jamison; and his infant son, Daniel Jamison.

Family and friends are invited to honor David’s life on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Bradford, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., immediately followed by a celebration of David’s life, with Pastor Jim Line of Agape Assembly of God, officiating.

David was deeply loved, will be greatly missed, and will forever be remembered as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion, friend,

– “Scrappy” — who never lost his youthful spirit or his love for the people who made his life complete.
