Smethport – Thomas B. Jordan, 70, of Smethport, passed away Wednesday (September 16, 2026) in Smethport.

He was born November 7, 1955 in Olean, NY, the son of Lester J. Jordan, Sr. and Rose Marie (Dragoone) Jordan. On August 31, 1974, in Eldred, PA, he married Jill R. Gotshall, who died February 15, 2026.

Mr. Jordan was a graduate of Smethport High School Class of 1973 and worked for G.O. Hawbaker as an operator before retiring.

He was a former member of the Smethport Fire Department, being one of the first masked fire fighters in the 1970’s. He was also a member of the Allegheny Mountain Engine and Implement Association (A.M.E.I.A.).

He is survived by:

One daughter: Erin R. (Alvin) Loveless of Smethport

Three grandchildren: Odin Loveless, Landon Loveless and Kelsey Peters

Two brothers: Lester J. Jordan, Jr. of Smethport and Bradley Jordan of Emporium, PA

Along with several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by a son, Clinton B. Jordan on June 28, 2016, as well as a sister, Christine Camp.

There will be no visitation or services.
