Grace Y. CAREY, 88, of Ulysses, PA, formerly of Arvada, CO, died Tuesday, September 1, 2026 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.  Born May 31, 1938, in Shenandoah, IA, she was the daughter of Everett Carl and Harriett Elaine Roller Compton.  On August 19, 2006, in Arvada, CO, she married Harlan L. Carey, who survives.  

A graduate of Northboro High School in Northboro, IA, she earned a degree in business from Iowa Western Community College, Clarinda, IA.  She was employed by Community Banks of Colorado in Arvada for 47 years, retiring as Vice President.  Grace was a member of the Ulysses Methodist Church and Lakewood Elks Lodge #1777.  

Surviving besides her husband, Harley, are: two grandsons, Travis Gaudy and Blake Gaudy, both of Fairfield, NJ; a sister, Donna Jeffers of Denver, CO; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two children, Rodney Chapman and Rhonda Gaudy; and four siblings.  

A Memorial Service will be held on a later date.  Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Ulysses Methodist Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses, PA.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.olneyfoust.com.
