UPMC Williamsport Welcomes EMS Medical Director, Physician

Williamsport, Pa., August 31, 2026 – UPMC Williamsport and Susquehanna Regional EMS (SREMS) welcome Michael J. Reihart, D.O., medical director, EMS, UPMC Williamsport, and medical director, SREMS, to the emergency medicine teams.
Dr. Reihart has more than 30 years of physician leadership experience in emergency medicine and EMS, including 24 years as regional EMS medical director for the Emergency Health Services Federation and service as chair of the Pennsylvania Department of Health Medical Advisory Committee, where he has helped guide statewide EMS treatment protocols and clinical policy.
“Dr. Reihart’s decades of experience in emergency medicine and EMS leadership will be a tremendous asset to UPMC Williamsport, SREMS, and the communities we serve,” said Patti Jackson-Gehris, market president, UPMC North Central Pa. “His commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and strong partnerships will help support high-quality emergency care across our region.”
Dr. Reihart graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, and completed his emergency medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in emergency medicine and emergency medical services and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Academy of Emergency Medical Services.
