August Star Award Presented to 20-year Employee

August Star Award Winner, Dorota Morawska, PT, inpatient physical therapy, OGH.
OLEAN, NY – Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facility, is proud to announce the winner of the 2026 August Star Award. This month’s recipient was Dorota Morawska, PT, an inpatient physical therapist. Morawska has been with OGH since November 2006.
“Dorota was professional, personal, and very easy going. From the first appointment, her interest in helping me was gentle and highly motivational. I was going through a very rough time and lost my desire to get better and wanted to give up. She motivated me to try harder. I have a way to go, but I owe my progress to Dorota,” said her nomination. “She’s truly an awesome physical therapist. She is kind, compassionate, hardworking and always has her patients’ best interests in mind. We’re so fortunate to have her as part of our therapy team.”
The Star Award is presented monthly to an employee who demonstrates outstanding performance and inspires the same in others. Staff members are nominated for exceptional customer satisfaction, continuous performance improvement, teamwork, communication, ownership/accountability and excellence through co-worker or patient nominations.
The following were also nominated for Star Awards: Dianne Davis, hospitalists; Lindsey Carter, RN, emergency department; Austin Lawton, third floor; Chase Miller, environmental services; Tara Plath, RN, cath lab; Lisa Peterson, general surgery; Sarah Powers, RN, case management; and Chris Weiss, RN, emergency department.
Star award recipients receive a chamber of commerce gift certificate, additional paid time off, a certificate of recognition and, the Star Award parking spot.
