Brian Clair Button, age 55, of Knoxville, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his home. 

Brian was born May 13, 1967 in Wellsboro, PA, the son of the late Ellis Button and Sandra (Morgan) Marcusky.

He was a 1985 graduate of Cowanesque Valley Jr. Sr. High School and retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed camaraderie with friends, playing cards, and spoiling his pets.

On June 29, 2013, he married Gwen (Carl) Button, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by: sons, Andrew Button of Odessa, NY and Brandon Button of Westfield, PA; step-father, Frank Marcusky of Lawrenceville, PA; step-siblings, Robert (Lisa) Marcusky of Springfield, MO, Mecca (Carlos) Miron of Muncy, PA, Katya Marcusky of Eugene, OR, April (Mike Regan) Marcusky of Decatur, TN, Deborah (Daryl) Cevette of Painted Post, NY, Scott (Staci) Towner of Costa Messa, CA, and Christine (Scott Sorensen) Towner of Elkland; uncles, Ralph (Jean) Morgan of Panama City, FL and Lloyd Morgan of Mansfield, PA; father and mother-in-law, Lee and Sharon Carl of Westfield, PA; brother-in-law, Aaron (Marlo) Carl of Westfield, PA; sister-in-law, Samantha (Travis) Moore of Westfield, PA; special aunts, Cheryl (Gary) Keeney of Middlebury Center, PA, Jane Rucker of Westfield, PA, and Joan Kline of Nelson, PA, beloved puppy, Bettis; very special friends, Todd Shimkanin, Shawn Fousnought, Mike Youngs, Donny Hand, Sheldon Johnson, Kevin Burdick, Shawn Earle, and Glenn Knott; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Clara (Carl) Calaman, step-father, Robert Towner, several aunts and uncles.

In honoring Brian’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries, 725 Gee Road, Middlebury Center, PA 16935, in honor of his beloved Zeddie.
