Ryan G. Benjamin, 44, of Smethport

Smethport – Ryan G. Benjamin, 44, of Smethport, passed away Wednesday (November 5, 2025) at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 17, 1981 in Olean, NY, the son of Phillip “Cricky” and Donna M. (Rossi) Benjamin.
Mr. Benjamin was a graduate of Smethport Area High School Class of 1999 and attended Mansfield University.
Ryan had worked several jobs over the years, but his last employment was with Hull’s Restaurant of Smethport as a bartender.
He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church of Smethport. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing with his children and his dogs, and just being outdoors. He was a Chicago Bears and NY Mets fan.
In addition to his parents, “Cricky” and Donna Benjamin, Ryan is survived by:
Three children: Ayden Blair, Phillip “PJ” Benjamin, and Autumn Benjamin, all of Smethport
A sister: Tammy (Chad Warnick) Nolte of Mt. Jewett
A brother: Christopher Benjamin of Deersville, OH
Niece and nephews: Nicole Nolte, Kyle (Ashley) Nolte, and Matthew Nolte
Great nephew and great niece: Owen Nolte and Katelynn Nolte
Brother-in-law: Brad Nolte of Smethport
and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 AM-Noon at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, where funeral services will start at noon with the Rev. Allen Young, pastor of the East Smethport United Christian Church, and the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
