National Election Hero

“November 3, the day before Election Day, has been designated as National Election Hero Day across the country. The LWV of Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties celebrated the day by taking home baked cookies to our Boards of Elections in Belmont, Allegany County and Little Valley, Cattaraugus County.
The Election heroes who work at the BOEs strive all year long to provide a reliable, safe and secure environment for citizens to exercise their right to vote at local, state and federal elections. We greatly appreciate these dedicated neighbors, friends and family who are committed to doing this good work. We honor them not just on National Election Hero Day, but every day and say Thank You for all they do.
The LWV has a presence in all 50 states and as a grassroots organization in existence for 105 years, is committed to providing accurate non-partisan information about voting and civic engagement. There are elections every year and we encourage all eligible citizens to register to vote, be informed of candidates and issues and Vote! It’s our right, our responsibility and our future.
