Gregory A. Koons, 72, of Salamanca, NY and Turtlepoint, PA, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with his Savior, Saturday (July 26, 2025) in Turtlepoint.

He was born January 9, 1953 in Coudersport, the son of George and Bilie May (McAvoy) Koons.

Mr. Koons had many jobs, from a maintenance man at McDonald’s to groundskeeper at Penn Hills Club in Bradford.  

He is survived by his long time companion, Sharon L. Pope of Turtlepoint, one son; Jason Koons of Ohio, step son; Jason (Sara) Scutt of McClure, two grandchildren; Olivia (Trevor) Chapman and Marley Koons, one great grandchild; Indie Chapman, one step grandchild Sierra Scutt, one brother George (Sally) Koons, five sisters; Maxine, Cindy, Karen, Darlene, and Marlene.

One sister-in-law; Priscella “Jane” (Jim) Borrows of Eldred, and three brother-in-laws, Charles Pope of Turtlepoint, Ricky and Carl (Matilda) Pope of Bradford

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry and Lee and three sisters; Valeta, Ruby amd Georgette.

There will be no visitation.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
