ENDLESS MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL TO PRESENT CONCERTS THIS JULY 28th THROUGH THURSDAY, JULY 31

Monday, July 28 at 7pm EMMF’s Famous Brass Quintet with percussionist Jason Mathena will perform in the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in ‘Wellsboro. This concert is BYOB with ticketholders encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages and sit at tables to enjoy the music. Individual theater-style seating will also be available. Seating at tables is on a first come, first served basis. The program will be announced from the stage but it is expected that most of the music will be taken from the list provided for the Sunday concert at Cherry Springs State Park.
Tuesday, July 29 at 7pm, the EMMF Wind Quintet featuring Lish Lindsey on flute; Ellen Gruber on oboe; Trina Gross on clarinet; Lynn Moncilovich on bassoon; and Melvin Cortez Jackson on French horn, will perform “Mostly American” works at the Tioga County Courthouse at 118 Main Street in Wellsboro. The program will be announced from the stage.
Wednesday, July 30 at 7pm, Alyssa Wray accompanied at the piano by Ali Murphy, Prima Theatre’s resident music director, and by EMMF cellist Scott Perry, will sing golden era pop, Broadway classics, and contemporary hits. She is a singer, actor and artist from Kentucky, currently residing in New York City. Audience members may remember seeing her on ABC’s “American Idol” where she was a Top 9 finalist in 2021.The program will be announced from the stage. This concert is BYOB with ticketholders encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages and sit at tables to enjoy the music. Individual theater-style seating will also be available. Tables cannot be reserved in advance and are on a first come, first served basis. There is no extra fee for tables.
Thursday, July 31 at 7pm at the Knoxville Public Library at 112 East Main Street in Knoxville will be “Percussion Explosion!” featuring percussionists Jason Mathena and David Wert. Selections will be taken from “Three Sonatas and Three Partitas for Solo Violin,” written by Bach in 1720 and arranged for marimba for this concert by Mathena and from original compositions written by Thelonious Monk, an American jazz pianist and composer who had a unique improvisational, rhythmic style, and arranged for this concert by Mathena for vibraphone and marimba. Monk died in 1982 at the age of 64. His compositions constitute the core of jazz repertory and are performed by artists from many different genres.
Youth, 20 and under, will be admitted free to all festival concerts.
