Fredonia water customers, including those in the Town of Pomfret are on a boil water order due to treatment issues at the water plant. Water operators are working to correct the problems with the treatment processes. However, the water coming from the treatment plant is still not safe to drink without boiling. You must continue to boil all water used for cooking and drinking.  Bring all water used for drinking or cooking to a rolling boil, then cool before using.
