Carol Corbin Francisco, 95, of Ranches, FL, Formerly of Wellsville

Carol Corbin Francisco, 95, of Ranches, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Vita Hospice Hospital in Sunrise, FL, after a brief illness. She was born December 24, 1929, at Jones Memorial Hospital of Wellsville, NY, the daughter of the late Manly and Margaret (Howe) Corbin. On December 26, 1947, in Belmont Episcopal Church, she married Roger Francisco, who predeceased her on September 4, 1993.
Carol was employed by the N.Y.S. Conservation department, Air Preheater of Wellsville, Director of Allegany County Cancer Offices, Bonton of Olean, and Nas Patuxent River Military Base of Maryland, retiring in 1993. Outside of her employment she was a member of the Catherine Schuyler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, St. Phillips Church of Belmont, NY, St. John’s Church of Carlisle, NY, and Santa Cruz Resurrection Episcopal church of Miami Shores, FL, serving on their vestry. Additionally, she was member of the Carlisle Newcomers Organization, Miami Shores Women’s Club, the Wellsville Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Society, and Wellsville Hospital Women’s Group.
Carol often spoke of her ancestors and was thrilled to become a member of the DAR. She was proud of her achievements working for the Cancer Society, organizing clinics and outreach programs; ironically, she subsequently became a cancer survivor. She was a good singer and often embarrassed her children by being the strongest voice in small church choirs. At the age of 64, she was newly retired and unexpected widow, she moved to Carlilse to be near her daughter’s family and start a new life. She was known for her smile and quick laugh.
She is survived by: her children, Constance (George) Bradley of Deering, NH, Roger “Ben” (Carol) Francisco of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Edwin (Kristen) Bradley, James (Rosenna) Bradley, Elizabeth (Thomas) Bradley-Vander Horst, Clare Francisco, Peter (Brooke) Francisco, Paul Francisco, and Andrew (Jessica) Francisco; great-grandchildren, Graham Bradley, Tristan Bradley, Dominic Stark, Ragnar Vander Horst, Freyja Vander Horst, Bjorn Vander Horst, Bella Francisco, Julian Francisco, Layla Francisco, Eva Wallner, Eillian Wallner, Benton Francisco, Kieren Francisco, and Coralie Francisco; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and husband of 45 years, Roger, she was predeceased by: three siblings and their spouses, Richard (Marion Kelly) Corbin, Norma (Lloyd) Corbin-Francisco, and Virginia Corbin.
A Private Memorial Graveside will be held later this fall at the family’s convenience. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery of Scio, NY.
