Jude A. Zimmett, 72, of St. Marys.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jude A. Zimmett, of St. Marys. Jude passed away on March 20, 2025 at the Mountain Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, PA.
He was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, whose kindness and warmth touched all that knew him. Whether through his unwavering support for family, dedication to his wife, or simply a kind word to a stranger, Jude left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
Jude was born on September 20, 1952, a son of the late Alvin Zimmett and Shirley Braun Zimmett, who survives of St. Marys.
On December 9, 1994, he married the love of his life, Ruthalene Wendel in the Winter Gardens in Niagara Falls, NY. She survives, and together they shared more than thirty years of love and laughter.
After graduating from St. Marys Area High School, Jude proudly enlisted in the Marine Corp. He served in Okinawa, Japan as a diesel mechanic and was awarded the rifle expert badge. Jude retired from the St. Marys Water Authority after 42 years of service.
Along with his wife and mother, Jude is survived by a son; Ben McGrath and his wife Dawn of Toby, and a daughter; Crystal McGrath Bille and her husband Mark of North Port, Florida. His six loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Jude enjoyed filling the room with laughter by telling his endless jokes. Jude was a loving husband who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the countless beautiful memories shared. Jude will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A Memorial Service for Jude A. Zimmett will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Jeffery Noble officiating
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail.
Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
