Upcoming March Community Classes & Support Groups at BRMC & OGH
Throughout March, Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, are offering a variety of classes and support groups designed to provide health education, encouragement, and community connection.
Whether you are managing a health condition, navigating a loss, or caring for a loved one, programs offer valuable guidance and are open to the public.
The Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Workshop helps individuals take charge of their diabetes with expert guidance and support. The comprehensive program at OGH covers key aspects of diabetes self-care, including meal planning, medication management, and lifestyle strategies. The workshop will take place in the OGH Education Center on the first floor. The dates and times are as follows:
Wednesday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Wednesday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Diet-focused session)
Wednesday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

If you are scheduled for total joint replacement surgery, the Total Joint Care Class hosted by the OGH outpatient rehabilitation services team would be beneficial. This class provides an overview of your procedure, the recovery process, and the rehabilitation you will need. This month, the class will be held on Wednesday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the OGH Education Center. To register, call (716) 375-7481.
At BRMC, individuals can connect with others dealing with a loss throughout the community by attending the Grief Relief Support Group. Grief can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to go through it alone. This group meets in the Community Room in the BRMC Main Lobby for a compassionate and supportive group where you can share your journey with others who understand. The group will meet on Tuesday, March 25, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (814) 362-8288. No registration required. The meeting is free and open to the public.
The Dementia Support Group open to the public and for individuals caring for a loved one with dementia. This group, led by Alzheimer’s Association member Mary Cukierski, provides a space to connect, share experiences, and gain helpful resources. The group meets monthly at BRMC in the Pavilion Activities Room. This month’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information or to register, call (814) 362-8293. This event is free and open to the public.
