Carroll Louis “Cub” Faivre, 94, of Wellsboro, passed away at his home Tuesday February 4, 2025. He was born August 4, 1930, in Brookside, PA, the son of the late Albert and Lula M. (Carroll) Faivre. Cub married the former Dorothy J. Fisher on February 8, 1957, and would have celebrated 68 years of marriage.
Cub was an Army veteran, serving in Korea. He worked for many years as a mechanic for Corning Glass. He loved the outdoors, woodworking and homesteading on his property.
In addition to his wife, Cub is survived by a daughter: Linda J. (John) Callahan of Tioga; a son-in-law, John Plant of Wellsboro; a sister, Ella Connelly of Wellsboro; grandchildren: Daryl (Kim) Copp, Travis (Katie) Haner, Andrew (Amanda) Callahan; great grandchildren: Weston Copp, Olivia and Emmie Callahan; numerous nieces and nephews including Corrine Morales. In addition to his parents, Cub was preceded in death by a daughter, Carroll Plant, and 8 siblings: Milton Faivre, Mary Sawyer, George Faivre, Eugene Faivre, Anna Mase, Fred Faivre, Lois Patt, Charles Faivre.
