Cameron County Chamber of Commerce hosting the annual Lit & Lucky reverse raffle March 8.  Last year was the inaugural fundraiser for the chamber.  The chamber committee is expanding on the successful event that raises funds for the popular events like the fireworks during Weekend in the Wilds, and Santa’s reindeer in December.

New for Lit & Lucky will be a location change.  “We felt this fundraiser could be used to showcase a chamber member,” said Tina Solak, chamber executive director.  The event will take place March 8 5pm-9pm at Tubby’s Tavern.  Taking advantage of adjacent parking and a broader adult drink selection will be advantageous for ticket holders.

Ticket prices remain the same $50/couple $25/single.  The ticket is your entry into the drawing for $2,000 cash, food and two drink tickets.  Purchasing your ticket by February 10 secures a chance to win $50 cash during an early bird drawing which will take place at 6pm during the event.  Five people will be randomly selected.

 Attendees March 8 will have the opportunity to take part in numerous drawings and silent auctions.  One of the four big ticket items include a tour of the United States Capitol, and dinner in Washington DC. 

Those with tickets will also be able to take part in the silent auction.  Bidding will be opened February 28 to ticket holders for gift baskets including Cameron County sports memorabilia.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at the chamber office in Emporium.
