John P. Dietrick, 89, of Ridgway, PA passed away at Penn Highlands Elk on Saturday, December 31, 2022, following a short illness.

He was born on May 15, 1933 in Ridgway, a son of the William Wilson and Sarah LaRose Moore Dietrick. 

On May 19, 1952, he married Charlotte Lundin, who preceded in death on May 30, 2013.

John has been a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Johnsonburg High School class of 1951. He served in the U.S Navy and was a member of the Ridgway Burial detail for many years. He was a member of the Ridgway Moose, Elks, and Legion.  John loved to go on motorcycle rides, wood working, hunting, and playing cards.

John is survived by 5 children; Charles Dietrick and his wife Brenda of Ridgway, Pamela Uber and her husband David of Ridgway, John Dietrick and his wife Susan of Denver, NC, Todd Dietrick and his wife Lamis of Merritt Island, FL, and Diane Zelcs and her husband Gene of Ridgway, 12 grandchildren; Adam, Jennifer, Randee Jo, Angela, Paul, Kathleen, Zachary, Jessica, Heather, Dylan, Allison, and Kaitlyn, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Dietrick, and a sister, Gloria Mishrell.

Funeral Services are being held privately by the family.

Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
