Stephen B. MORLEY, of Adamstown, MD, formerly of Campbell, NY
Stephen B. MORLEY, of Adamstown, MD, formerly of Campbell, NY, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born December 2, 1935, in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of Calvin and Gladys Neff Morley.
On July 2, 1960, in Ulysses, PA, he married the love of his life, Pauline “Polly” Burdick, who survives. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this past July.
A graduate of Ulysses High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and mathematics education from Lock Haven University and a master’s degree in school administration from Alfred University. Stephen began his teaching career at Campbell Central School as a classroom teacher. Over his 41 years with the district, he served as a guidance counselor, high school principal, and finally, the district superintendent. He was devoted to the school and the Campbell community; both were a source of great pride. He thought of the students as well as the people he worked with as an extension of his family. Stephen was also a 33rd degree Mason. He was committed to the Masons because of the positive impact they made on the community.
Surviving besides his wife, Polly, are: two daughters, Christine (Brian) Andrukat and Andrea (Ron Robisch) Morley; six grandchildren, Calvin (Meredith) Andrukat, Alexis Andrukat, Emma Andrukat, Raeann Robisch, Lincoln Robisch, and Sky Robisch.
Stephen’s love of his family was always evident. He loved and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining his grandchildren with tales of his days as the Lone Ranger as well as sharing his beloved farm in Potter County with them. His roots in Potter County never left him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear cousins George Morley and Jeannette Buck.
Friends may call on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Gold Church, 2402 State Rte. 49, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
