Join us for a heartwarming holiday photo shoot with your furry friends!

Wellsboro, PA – December 4, 2024 – The Deane Center is hosting a festive and furry event to spread holiday cheer and support a great cause! On Sunday, December 15th, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, the Deane Center lobby will be transformed into a winter wonderland for Howlin’ Holidays, a special holiday photo shoot and donation drive to benefit the Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries. This fun holiday event is generously sponsored by Dr. Kristine Shaw of Grand Canyon Veterinary.

Bring your beloved dogs – and of course, your donations – to create lasting memories with a professional holiday photo session. Local photographer Andrea DeSera will be on hand to capture adorable moments with your pups. One pose is only $5, or get five poses for just $20. The photos will be emailed to you, so you’ll have a perfect keepsake to cherish. And yes, humans are welcome to join in the fun, too!

In addition to the photo sessions, there will be a special Kitty Room where attendees can meet and play with adoptable cats from Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with some sweet kitties looking for their fur-ever homes.

Donation Needs:

Donations for Second Chance Animal Sanctuary are greatly appreciated. The shelter is in need of the following items:

For Dogs:

• Dry Dog Food: Victor brand (beef meal & brown rice or ocean fish), Wholesomes brand (beef meal & rice or sensitive skin & stomach formula), 4Health brand (beef & rice or sensitive skin formula).
• Treats/Supplements: Pup-peroni or other soft treats, DentaStix, Grizzly Omega 3-6-9 oil, canned pumpkin (not pie filling).
• Toys: Kongs, Jolly Balls, squeaky tennis balls.

For Cats:

• Dry Food: Victor brand (Mers feline formula), 4Health brand (chicken & rice), and other brands for outdoor colonies.
• Litter: Hardwood pellets (no pine).

Cleaning Supplies:

• Lysol multi-surface disinfectant, Clorox wipes, Dawn dish soap (blue), unscented bleach.

Monetary donations and gift cards to Chewy, Tractor Supply, and local feed or pet supply stores are always welcome to help support the shelter’s work.
