Elmer Gatecloux, 87, formerly of Bradford and Smethport, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Snyder Memorial Health Care, in Marienville.

Born July 21, 1937, in Belmont NY, he was a son of the late Naomi (Dickerson) Gatecloux and Francis Gatecloux. He attended schools in Oil City.

Elmer worked as an independent house painter throughout McKean County.

He is survived by three nieces, Brenda Timblin, Kimberly Timblin, and Rebecca Timblin, and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Debra Bennett and Mary L. Gatecloux.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of family. The burial will be alongside his mother and sisters.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
