Clermont, FL- Bruce Ackley Hatch, aged 79, passed away on November 1, 2024, in Shinglehouse, PA at his beloved hunting camp. Born on July 5, 1945, Bruce was a cherished figure known for his storytelling, humor and kindness, and was deeply committed to teaching and learning throughout his life.
Bruce graduated from Portville Central High School in 1963 and built a distinguished career at Agway, Inc. Energy Products, followed by significant roles at Cornell University and Ithaca College Physical Plants, where he excelled as the Manager overseeing all facilities services and staff. His professional life was marked by a deep commitment to excellence and mentorship.
An avid hunter, Bruce was passionate about archery and gun sports, making significant contributions to the hunting community, including five entries in the Pope and Young Club. He was enthusiastic about sharing his skills and stories with the next generation, ensuring that the traditions he cherished continued.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lynnette Marean Hatch; daughter, Beth Hatch Hall (Edward); granddaughter, Nicole Eitelgeorge (Eric); grandson, Edward Hall, III (Julia); great-grandchildren, Jordan Long, Sophia Hall, Sage Eitelgeorge, and Leah Hall; brother, Harold (Corky) Hatch; sister, Nancy Renner; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved KaJoMa club members, whom he counted as treasured friends for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Josephine Hartwig Hatch; brothers, Ronald and Abe Hatch; and sister, Virginia Faulkner.
