P. Victor “Hector” Moore, Jr., 70, of Ridgway, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Penn Highlands Dubois.

He was born on November 1, 1954, in Ridgway, a son of the late P. Victor, Sr. and Louise Anna Yeager Moore.

In September 7, 2007, he married Lesa Marconi, who survives.

Hector was a lifelong member of the community and a graduate of Ridgway High School, class of 1972. He and his wife were the proud owners of the Main Street Tavern. Hector retired from Speer Carbon, and continued work as a maintenance man at the Royal Inn. He had a special bond with his brother, hanging out daily where they spent time taking care of Sandy Beach.

A talented woodworker, he found solace and joy in his woodshop. An ardent supporter of his favorite sports teams, Victor loyalty to the Steelers, Pirates, and Penn State. His genuine love for life extended to his cherished classmates from the Class of 1972, with whom he shared laughter, memories, and unforgettable adventures.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a step daughter, Stephanie VanDerlin (Josh) of Ridgway, a brother, Edward F. Moore and his wife Ardith of Ridgway, a sister, Catherine Straub and her husband Kenneth of Emporium, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margerat R. Griech.

A Memorial Service for P. Victor Moore, Jr., will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, with Rev. Ed Burkett officiating.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hahne Cancer Center or Elk County Humane Society.
