United Church Women, previously known as Church Women United, met for an annual brunch at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church. Pictured from the left are: Laura Russell, newly elected President, Cindy Bosworth, Treasurer, Susan Roboski, Vice President, and Cherie Nasto, Secretary. UCW is a team of women from local churches who organize community events within the Port Allegany Ministerium including the Advent and Lenten luncheons held after the ecumenical services each year. In addition, UCW hosts community projects such as the Jared Project where the women create care packages for children in our community who are hospitalized at Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital. Also, each year, the ladies prepare Christmas stockings of personal items for the patients at Warren State Hospital.
