Janet M. Buck, 76, of Montoursville, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at The Williamsport Home in Williamsport. She was born April 23, 1948, in Wellsboro to John and Betty (Barnhart) Winters. She was married to the love of her life, Edward A. Buck, for 59 years. Janet was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend to many, but her most cherished titles were Wife and Mother.

Janet worked as a waitress for many years and later as a convenience store manager. She was known for her fun-loving personality, quick wit, and spirited sense of humor. She possessed an inner strength that helped her through some of the most challenging times in her life, including her journey with dementia. She passed with her daughters by her side, holding her hands as she took her last breath, both believing, “How fitting that she brought us into the world, so it only makes sense for us to be at her side as she leaves this world.”

Janet is survived by her husband, Edward Buck of Montoursville; two daughters: Tammy Berkheimer (Matthew) of Liberty, and Teri Walizer of Montoursville; a brother, Robert Winters of Ulster, PA; and a sister, Barbara Gee of Harleysville, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Gina Marie Buck; son-in-law, Robert Walizer II; sisters: Cinda Hurlburt, and Constance Lawton; and her brother, James Winters.

In accordance with Janet’s wishes, arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA 16901.
