Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad plans to close their crossing along Route 346 (Bolivar Drive) in Foster Township on Wednesday, September 2. The closure will allow them to replace the crossing surface, which will improve rail infrastructure, ride quality, and enhance safety for motorists.

Work is tentatively set to begin at 7:00 AM and is expected to continue until approximately 7:00 AM on Saturday, September 5. While the crossing is closed, traffic will follow a detour using Route 4005 (Main Street), Route 46 and Route 4013 (Seward Avenue). All construction schedules are tentative due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances and times of completion could vary.

PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution in the work zone, remain alert for railroad operators and equipment, approach railroad crossings carefully, and “Always expect a train.”

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.

• Utilize curriculum development techniques to tailor activities for diverse learners, including children with special education needs or requiring early intervention services.
• Engage children in hands-on learning experiences that support childhood development milestones and promote active exploration.
• Maintain detailed documentation of each child’s progress, including assessments related to standardized testing and individualized learning plans.
• Collaborate with families, specialists, and colleagues to support children’s welfare, growth, and educational goals.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that adheres to childcare regulations and always promotes child welfare.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development principles across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of childhood development stages and effective classroom management techniques.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational environment.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to preschool assessments is advantageous.
