Potter County Farmers Market Friday, May 17th
The Potter County Farmers Market will be outdoors on the square across from the county jail, every Friday (weather permitting) from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The next market will be this Friday, May 17th. Below is a list of who plans to be there and what they plan on bringing to the Market:
* The outdoor market is held each Friday from May through October (weather permitting; on very rainy days, we will relocate into the Riley Gallery (if available)). In November, the Farmers Market goes indoors for the winter market.
* Market times have been established after many trial times over the years. If you are not able to visit us and would like something particular from one of the vendors, please contact them directly. They are willing to try to accommodate your request.

William E. “Bill” FLAMINI, 69, of Westfield, PA, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in UPMC Soldiers & Sailors, Wellsboro.
Born May 30, 1954, in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of Victor and Anne Schrader Flamini. On June 14, 1980, in Ulysses, he married the former Valerie A. Young, who survives.
A graduate of Whitesville Central School, he attended BOCES for electrical. He was employed by Dick English Construction, SDS, Bi-Con, Wade’s Concrete, and Kibbe’s Concrete. Bill was an avid NASCAR and Buffalo Bills fan.
At family gatherings, Bill enjoyed food and fellowship. He was the first one at the table and the last one to leave. He loved cruises, ATV rides, card nights, and going to the casino.

Gilbert W Mitchell, 82, of Hazelwood, Missouri formerly of Emporium, PA
Gilbert W Mitchell, 82, of Hazelwood, Missouri, formerly of Emporium, PA, passed away on Wednesday (May 1, 2024) at his home in Hazelwood. He was born December 23, 1941 in Newport, Perry County, PA a son of the late Gilbert and Harriet Leonard Mitchell.
Gilbert graduated from Cameron County High School in 1959. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and went on to Boeing where he worked as an engineer for many years until his retirement. Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, electronics, genealogy, and collecting model cars.
Wellsville Police Blotter
Wellsville Police arrested Priscilla J. Armstrong, age 41 of Wellsville, charging her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor).
The charge stems from an incident that took place on South Brooklyn Avenue.
Armstrong was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Armstrong is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on May 21st at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested Devon C. O’Hara, age 29 of Wellsville, for failure to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 5th on a previous Petit Larceny Charge.
O’Hara was additionally charged with Bail Jumping 3rd (Class A Misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor) while being taken into custody on the Bench Warrant. O’Hara was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. O’Hara was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $2,000.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 property bond or $20,000.00 partially secured bond. O’Hara is due back in Wellsville Village Court on May 21st at 4:30 pm.

Sally R. Citro, 86, of Liberty Street, Warren, PA passed away Wednesday (May 15, 2024) at UPMC Hamot.
Born April 10, 1938, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Carlson Keneske. On September 26, 1960, in California, she married Alfred A. Citro who preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage.
Sally worked for Eastern Airlines from 1957-1959. She had been employed by Martin Marietta from 1959-1960 and later worked at Sperry Gyroscope. She was the president of Fuschicho Trading and B&D Enterprise until her retirement. Sally enjoyed gardening and painting.

At 11:05 AM on Thursday, Coudersport Ambulance was dispatched to Robin Lane in Sweden Township to assist PSP with a male with chest pain.
Horton Township Volunteer Fire Department
This morning just before 7:30am box 11-S was struck for a 2 vehicle MVA involving a school bus with confirmed entrapment. Rescue 11 and Utility 11 as well as Engine 1 and Rescue 1 responded. Thankfully no children were on the bus at the time of the incident. We would like to thank Station 1, EMS Station 10, and EMS Station 420 for the assistance. On scene operations were seamless and proficient from everyone involved. Route 219 is now open and the scene is no longer active.
