Howard N. LEWIS, 92, of Coudersport, PA, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 in Sweden Valley Manor.  

Born November 13, 1930, in Harrison Valley, he was the son of Arthur L. and Helena R. Van Pelt Lewis.  On March 30, 1951, in Mills, he married the former Mary Lou Reynolds, who predeceased him on September 21, 2019.  

A Korean War Veteran, he served honorably with the U.S. Army from 1952-1954.  He was employed by Consolidated Natural Gas company for 32 years, retiring in 1986.  

Howdy was a member of the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Co., the Gospel Tabernacle in Coudersport, and served on the board of directors of the Northern Tier Children’s Home in Harrison Valley.  

Herbert “Herb” D. Barnickel, 73, of Tidioute, PA, died Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA.

Robert J. “Bob” Rezzelle, 77, of Clarendon, PA, died suddenly Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at his home, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Rosemarie K. Green, 74, of Warren, PA, died unexpectedly, Tuesday evening, September 19, 2023 at Warren General Hospital.

Mark E. Lopus, 67, of Bradford, PA passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Olean General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born March 8, 1956, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Milton E. Lopus and Emily M. (Love) Blaske, who survives.

He was a 1974 graduate of Bradford High School. Mark was a proud member of the Owls ’73 and ’74 football teams and always cherished Coach John Durham. 

Mark was employed by the Susquehanna Laborers Union #158 as a skilled construction worker. 

Gloria J. Becker, 75, entered into rest on September 14, 2023, in York. She was the loving wife of Raymond E. Becker whom she would have shared 55 years with in November.

Born on February 10, 1948 in York, she was the daughter of the late Wayne Knaub and the late Dolores (Oberlander) Knaub.

In addition to her husband, Raymond, Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Tina Hicks of York, Raymond (Hong) Becker II of York and Michelle (Andy) Watson of Coudersport; grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Elizabeth, Brandon, Jarrod, Garrett, Leia and Savanna; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy (Craig) Poff and Brenda (David) Bailey; brother, Jeffrey (Debbie) Knaub; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Dennis.

Burial will be held at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Nancy R. Lyon, 78, of Warren, PA, died Wednesday morning, September 20, 2023, at Warren Manor Nursing Home, Warren, PA, after an extended illness. 

She was born April 17, 1945, in Russell, PA.  She was the daughter of Richard and Catherine Lucks Lyon. 

Nancy was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1963, graduate of Warren High School.  She was employed for 33 years, in the offices of the former New Process Company and retired from Blair Corporation.  She is remembered for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved to shop, and spend time with her dog, Penny.

John J. Villella, age 76, of Warren, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 19^th at Cleveland Clinic with his wife and daughter at his side, after a 6-month battle with cancer.

He was born on December 9, 1946 in Punxsutawney, Pa. He was the son of the late Joseph Thomas and Jane Crivella Villella. John was a 1965 graduate of Punxsutawney High School, where he was voted “Best Dancer” of his graduating class.

He served with the United States Army in the Vietnam Conflict as a private 4^th Class with the Signal Corp repairs division.

John earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Robert Morris University, where he served as the president of Phi Delta Mu, Delta Ta Delta, and the American Management Association. During his time as President of Phi Delta Mu, John was instrumental in elevating the fraternity to national status.  

John, with his family, moved to Warren on April 1, 1982 when he became co-owner and operator of Culligan Water in Warren, Meadville, and Erie until his retirement in 2015.
