William D. “Bill” Osborne, 77, of Hester Avenue, Roulette, PA
ROULETTE, Pa. — William D. “Bill” Osborne, 77, of Hester Avenue, Roulette, PA passed away on Sunday (January 28, 2024) at UPMC Williamsport following a brief illness.
Born on September 21st, 1946 in Olean, he was the son of Ennis L. and Fanny I. (Shelley) Osborne. On April 27, 1968 in El Paso, TX., he married Bonnie S. Lawrie who survives.
Bill was a 1965 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School. He was a veteran having served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
After his service he was employed at Pittsburg -Corning in Port Allegany for a few years prior to getting a job at AVX in Olean Where he spent sixteen years prior to finishing his career at GKN in Emporium, from where he retired.
He was a member of the Roulette Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and getting his grandchildren out of trouble.
Surviving, including his wife, are two sons; Edward A. Osborne of V.A., John N.E. (Contessa) Osborne, one daughter; Billie J. (Rob) Good of Duke Center, one brother; James C. Osborne, two sisters; Mary Ellen Haynes of Eldred, Virginia McAnallen of N.C., nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is one sister Barbara Osborne, and one brother Chester “Chet” Osborne.
A celebration of Life will be held at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred on Friday, February 9th, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at which time services will be held.
