Austin Volunteer Fire Department

As of 04:36 Station 44 was dispatched to Portage Township for a tree down blocking the roadway. Chief 44 (J.Rooney) and Patrol 44-24 with Chief 44-60 (T.Orlowski) responded. Crews arrived to find large tree blocking the roadway, PennDOT on scene. Chief 44 (J.Rooney) had command. Crew assisted PennDOT, providing traffic control and removing a large amount of debris from the roadway utilizing leaf blowers. Units were in quarters at 05:37.
