Wallace R. “Wally” Dyne, 92 of Oak St. in Kane, PA
Wallace R. “Wally” Dyne, 92 of Oak St. in Kane, PA passed away Saturday (April 1) at UPMC-Kane.
He was born on May 27, 1930 in Kane, the son of the late Reid and Alice (Johnson) Dyne. On July 16, 1960, in Kane, he married Jo Ann Swanson, who preceded him in death.
Wally had worked at Quality Woodcraft in the very early 50’s and then went to work at Stackpole in 1952 and stayed there until his retirement.
He was a lifetime member of the Kane Fish and Game Club and very instrumental in the construction of the club. He served as a Gun Safety Instructor and was a member of the Kinzua Fish and Wildlife Association. Wally joined the Kane Elks Club in 1959 and was one of its oldest members.
He donated his time to Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry, was involved with Scouting and was himself an Eagle Scout. He was an active member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church and a regular donor during the American Red Cross Blood Drive.
He is survived by two sons, Steve (Kerri) Dyne and Bob Dyne, both of Kane; one daughter, Deb (Tom) Cunningham of James City; three granddaughters, Drea (Joe) Zuzek, Allison Emer and Sydney Dyne; one grandson, John Emer; two sisters, Joyce Langdon of Waterloo, NY and Beverly (Gerald “Bud”) Keneski of Lakewood Ranch, FL and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Emer.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service, which will take place on Saturday (April 15) at Tabor Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. David Pflieger officiating. Interment will take place at Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery.
