Vivian “Jeannine” (Parks) Schreiber, 92, a resident of Christ the King Manor, DuBois
Vivian “Jeannine” (Parks) Schreiber, 92, a resident of Christ the King Manor, DuBois and formerly of 185 Center Street, Elk Towers, St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Christ the King Manor after a brief illness.
She was born July 21, 1932, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Vivian (Klase) Parks. Jeannine attended elementary school in Johnsonburg and high school in Sunbury, PA. She was most recently employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
Jeannine is survived by her son, Benjamin Schreiber (Diane) of St. Marys; her daughter-in-law, Carol (Krug) Schreiber of St. Marys; five grandchildren: Benjamin Schreiber, Jr., Thomas “T.J.” Schreiber (Alisha), Anissa Vollmer (Craig), J. Adam Schreiber, and Tracy Woods; great-grandchildren: Dakota Schreiber, Shaun Schreiber, Wynter Rayne Schreiber, Summer Shyne Schreiber, Kalie Carberry, Blake Vollmer, Christian Vollmer, Lucas Schreiber, and Ethan Schreiber; and by one great-great-grandson, Weston John Carberry.
In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by her son, John Schreiber on June 25, 1972; two sisters: Ruth Lewis and Audrey Miller; and by five brothers: Bruce L. Parks, Richard J. Parks, Harold D. Parks, Lawrence L. “Bud” Parks, Jr., and Calvin M. Parks. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Jeannine lived a simple life and her family meant everything to her. She loved spending time with them and keeping in touch with her numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor Jeannine’s wishes, funeral and committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
