UAHS Hospitals to Provide Christmas Meals for Patients
BRADFORD, PA / OLEAN, NY – Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS) hospital campuses, Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), and Olean General Hospital (OGH), are providing patients with a special holiday meal who cannot be home for the Christmas holiday on December 25.
For those who will be patients at BRMC and OGH as well as residents at the Pavilion on Christmas Day, the hospitals will be offering a festive complimentary meal. In addition, patients also receive a gratuitous meal for an invited guest to dine with them on Christmas Day. Additional patient guests may purchase a holiday dinner for $5.40.
“The holidays are all about being together with family and friends. Being able to provide these complimentary gourmet meals to our patients, residents, and their guests to spend time together is so important to us,” said Julie Becker, general manager, of food and nutrition services. “We want to provide the best patient experience possible. We hope that through this small gesture, our patients’ Christmas will be more pleasant.”
Both hospitals’ Christmas Day menu will consist of sirloin steak, roasted red potatoes, roasted cauliflower, and gingerbread thimble cake. The food and nutrition department will also meet any dietary requirements for each patient.
