Twenty-five Portville Graduates Receive Portville College Scholarships
OLEAN, N.Y., August 7 – Twenty five recent Portville Central School graduates received awards from the Portville College Scholarship Fund, managed by the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation.
The Portville College Scholarship Fund supports annual scholarship awards for graduating Portville students who volunteer at the school store or annual Portville College Scholarship phonathon fundraiser.
Awards from this fund totaled $9,650 this year.

Shaw will attend SUNY Erie Community College to study autobody repair. Spring will attend Rochester Institute of Technology to study software engineering. Smith will attend Jamestown Community College to study nursing. Julia Wyant will study obstetrician nursing at St. Bonaventure University. Mitchell will study political science at the University of Michigan.
Dean will study biochemistry at Penn State University. Jenna Wyant will study psychology at St. Bonaventure University. Haynes will study exercise science on a pre-occupational therapy track at Slippery Rock University. DeFazio will attend St. Bonaventure University to study accounting. Scanlon will study communication and science disorders at Edinboro University.
Daley will study architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. Holcomb will attend the South East Lineman Training Center to be an electrical lineman. Bentley will study sports management at Houghton University. Lyle will attend Marymount University to study forensic psychology. Steighner will study business at Geneva College.
Hatch will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to study nursing. Edick will attend Utica University to study animal behavior. Elliott will attend Liberty University to study sports psychology. Carter will attend St. Bonaventure University. Edwards will study early childhood education at Houghton University.
Studley will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to study psychology. Jobe will attend Penn State Behrend to study chemical engineering. Grandusky will study political science/homeland security at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Marshall will study communications and media at Nazareth University. Perkins will study sports and recreational management at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
