Thomas S. “Tom” Hager, age 67, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Friday, October 27, 2023. 

He was born on September 9, 1956 in Sellersville, PA a son of the late Lester L. Hager and Jean M (Bucher) Bitler.  Tom was married to Sheila A. (Boyce)

Hager and worked with Don and Betty Bauer at Wellsboro Plumbing and Heating.  He then was self-employed doing plumbing, heating and A/C for over 20 years.  He worked in the gas field industry for the last 10 years until his retirement. 

Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, riding motorcycles, traveling, skiing, golfing, and playing softball, euchre, cards and dimes and camping on the hill. 

He is survived by his mother: Jean M. Bitler of New Milford, PA, wife: Sheila A. Hager of Wellsboro, PA, son: Seth Hager of Tioga, PA, daughter: Michelle (Adam) Yerger of East Greenfield, PA, stepson: Rich (Beth) Johnston of SC, stepdaughter: Tina Johnston-Smith of Fayetteville, PA, sisters: Cheri (Brad) Ziegler of Souderton, PA, Julie Roberts of New Milford, PA, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins with whom he was very close to. 

He was predeceased by a sister: Donna Welch. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 1 to 2 pm at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kristi A. Webster officiating.
