Theresa Farnsworth, 88, of Old Smethport Rd., Kane, PA
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Theresa Farnsworth, 88, of Old Smethport Rd., passed away Monday (Sept. 2) at UPMC-Presbyterian with her family by her side. Born March 11, 1936 in Kane, she is the daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Zlosel) Bradley. On Aug. 14, 1953 in Kane she married Russell Farnsworth Jr., who preceded her in death.
Theresa worked at Stackpole and also as a cook at Desio’s Restaurant and the Kane Community Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. She made many treasured gifts over the years for her loved ones. She was an excellent cook and baker and was known for her groskie cookies whom she shared with everyone. She enjoyed spending time on her porch watching the birds and squirrels. She had a love for cats and would feed every stray that showed up. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. Everyone will miss her dearly.
Theresa was the heart of our home and family. She raised three children, Joe Farnsworth of Kane; Debbie Staples of Sinclairville, NY and Sheila (Ralph) Bradybaugh of Kane. She is also survived by three grandsons, Josh (Cleo) Bradybaugh, Joe (Cher) Farnsworth, and Jordan (Tiffany Gonsman) Bradybaugh; three granddaughters, Cari Hunter, Kasey (Mike) Dales, and Jolene (Matt) Petrof; five great-grandsons, Landen, Blake, Cade, Gage and Barrett; six great-granddaughters, Brittney (Jake), Natalie (Humam), Alia, Rain, Breah and Haven. Along with two special nieces Kay and Rosemary, several nephews as well as Kylie and Brock who called her grandma.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Frank Bradley; two brothers, Joe and John Bradley and three sisters, Mary Schultz, Jennie Ulyan and Rose Cedar.
Services will be conducted at the Cummings Funeral Home on Friday, Sept 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
